FAQ
Every Stone Climbing Hold is carved by hand in Sheffield and packed with care to make sure it reaches you safely.
How do I attach the holds to my wall?
All of our holds are made to be fixed with ⌀5mm screws. Each hold is different so we recommend a selection of different screw length's ensuring that at least 25mm goes through the backing board.
Do they trash your skin?
Our approach with our holds is to create ideal training holds that carry the benefits of climbing on stone but minimise the downsides of excessive skin wear.
Most of our holds are sanded smooth to the touch, so they should minimise skin tears.
Different rocks will naturally have different textures, which will wear your skin at different rates.
What are the benefits of stone holds?
Stone has a higher thermal conductivity than other training materials such as wood. At room temperature, stone pulls heat away from your skin, making it feel cold to the touch and ideal for training.
Also, it looks amazing.
Where does your stone come from?
Our rock is sourced from quarries, or leftovers from construction. This scrap material would otherwise end up as rubble, so it’s nice to repurpose it for something we can appreciate. Rocks are not taken from climbing areas.
